The "Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG" takes its name from a rural area in the province of Bologna, in the Municipality of Valsamoggia and near Monteveglio.

The grape variety that gives life at this wine is the "Grechetto Gentile", also known locally with the traditional name of "Alionzina".

Well known its fresh, delicious and sparkling versions, offers great charm and personality in the still version, whose big structure is further highlighted by the long aging before the commercialization of the version "Classico Superiore", which can not occur before the 4 october each year.

Thanks to the great features that summarize the grapes from the land where they live, favorable vintages "Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto Classico Superiore DOCG" can go easily to several years of aging, where the already great structure, is articulated and deepens with surprising depth.

Definitely among the most interesting white wine of our scene, "Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG" expresses the typical character of great relevance as to be highly appreciated all over the country and beyond. The Production of grapes suitable for producing wine DOCG Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto stood at approximately 17,500 qt for a surface area of about 640 hectares.

 

FRIZZANTE AND SPUMANTE
85% Grechetto Gentile minimum production 12 ton/ha, exclusively from the historical area of the Bolognese Hills.

SUPERIORE
85% Grechetto Gentile minimum production 11 ton/ha, exclusively from the historical area of the Bolognese Hills.

CLASSICO SUPERIORE
95% Grechetto Gentile minimum production 9 ton/ha, exclusively from the historical area of the Bolognese Hills. Released on the market after October 4 of the year following the harvest.
